NEWPORT, R.I. -- A recent update to the instruction outlining the U.S. Naval War College's (NWC) Missions, Functions and Tasks is a complete revision and should be read in its entirety.
OPNAVINST 5450.207D was signed out by the Director, Navy Staff on May 23, and is now available online through the Department of the Navy Issuances website.
NWC's updated missions are to:
- Educate and Develop Leaders
- Support Defining the Future Navy and Associated Roles and Missions
- Support Combat Readiness
- Strengthen Global Maritime Partnerships
The document also delineates the various tasks and functions that support those missions, as well as the tenant activities associated with NWC.
