Information Resources Department

The Information Resources Department (IRD) provides service desk support to our students, faculty, and staff in the U.S. Naval War College (NWC) community. We also assist with information and communication technology that supports higher education in the spectrum of teaching, learning, and research programs.

About the Information Resources Department

The mission of IRD is to provide secure, agile, cutting-edge technology and support as required to a 21st century higher education institution of excellence. The technology environment must enable the college to respond to the changing needs and challenges inherent in its institutional mission and programs while supporting teaching, learning and research.

Help Desk Support

Our staff maintains current knowledge of hardware and software applications used around the college to provide help desk support ranging in desktop applications, user accounts, network connectivity, printing and more.

IPv6 Implementation Information

DOD is transitioning to IPv6. As part of this transition, the U.S. Naval War College (NWC) has issued it's IPv6 Policy below.
