Description of the Requirement or Tasks to be performed
The Chief of Naval Operations International Seapower Symposium is a bi-annual event that brings together Heads of Navies and Coast Guards from around the globe to discuss issues of international security and enhance maritime cooperation. We will require 140 motivated Reservists to help run this event. All attending Reservists should be prepared to work hard and demonstrate the highest level of military bearing and professionalism.
Special Qualifications Desired
All applicants must be in Navy standards, with impeccable military bearing with a positive attitude. Additional qualifications are dependent on duties assigned. Specific rank/rate requirements and skill sets are as follows:
- Watchstanders (E7 – O5) – Any rate with strong communications skills
- Transportation (E1 – E6) – Valid driver’s license and no fear of bridges
- Security (E1 – O3) – MA, Security LDO or relevant civilian experience
- Spouse Program (O1 – O5) – This program is only open to female officers
- Graphics/PAO/AV (E4 – 05); PAO/MC/IT relevant experience in field
- Event support (E6 – O5) – Any rate with strong communications skills
Special Travel Considerations or Conditions
Members are required to be available to work the entire duration of orders INCLUDING WEEKENDS. Members with conflicts during this set of orders will not be considered. Due to the variety of events taking place during ISS, individual billet uniforms will vary. At a minimum, uniform requirements for the event are Service Dress Blues and Navy Working Uniform (NWUs). Additional uniforms will be communicated once you have been assigned a billet.
