Larry Johnson is a Senior Analyst with Network Simulations Corporation, supporting the War Gaming Department, Center for Naval Warfare Studies. His roles include War Game Direction, Design, Development, Execution and Analysis. Mr. Johnson is a retired Surface Warfare Officer with over 28 years of navy experience. He joined War Gaming Department in 2011 as a Military Professor and performed similar duties that also included teaching Operational Planning for the International Surface Warfare Officers course. He retired from active duty in 2013.
Mr. Johnson is a graduate of the Naval War College's Naval Staff College and College of Naval Command & Staff with a Master of Arts Degree in National Security Studies with a concentration in Irregular Warfare. He also holds a Bachelor of Science in Technical Management from New Hampshire College.
Mr. Johnson's navy career included assignments to an Attack Submarine, Mobile Contingency Communications, Naval Coastal Warfare, Frigates, Destroyers, Special Operations, an Amphibious and other Operational Staffs to include a Personnel Exchange Program Tour with the Italian Navy's High Seas Forces Commander in Taranto, Italy.
