Commander Jeffrey W. Adams, a native of Hopkinton, Massachusetts, was commissioned an Ensign in May 1997 after receiving his Bachelor of Science degree with Merit in Computer Science from the United States Naval Academy.  He then reported to Pensacola, Florida and later Corpus Christi Texas for flight training and was designated a Naval Aviator in August of 1999.

In August 1999, he reported to Patrol Squadron Thirty (VP-30) at NAS Jacksonville, Florida for fleet replacement pilot training in the P-3C Orion. Following initial training, Commander Adams reported to the “Tridents”, Patrol Squadron Twenty Six (VP-26) in Brunswick, Maine. He completed two deployments to the Mediterranean, Northern Europe, and Central American theaters. Commander Adams served as the command Information Systems Security Manager, Line Division Officer, Readiness Officer, Instructor Pilot, and Assistant Operations Officer. During his tour, the squadron was awarded the Battle “E” unit award.

In July 2003, Commander Adams reported to the “Rangers”, Training Squadron Twenty Eight (VT -28) at NAS Corpus Christi, Texas.  During his tour, Commander Adams served as Flight Leader, Pilot Training Officer, NATOPS Instructor Pilot, and Squadron Standardization Officer.  In August of 2005, Commander Adams transitioned to a Full Time Support Officer.

Commander Adams reported to the “Taskmasters”, Fleet Logistics Support Squadron Fifty Two (VR-52), at NAS JRB Willow Grove, Pennsylvania in December 2005. He served as Aviation Safety Officer, NATOPS Department Head, Safety Department Head, NATOPS Instructor Pilot, and Maintenance Department Head. During his tour, the squadron was awarded the Battle “E” unit award and the “Golden Wrench Award” for maintenance excellence.

In January of 2009, he reported to United States Transportation Command at Scott Air Force Base, Illinois. During his three year joint tour, Commander Adams served as Deployable Distribution Command and Control Branch Chief and Joint Mobility Operations Officer for the USTRANSCOM J3 West Division - Pacific Command Branch.

Commander Adams served as Commanding Officer of Navy Operational Support Center Lemoore, CA from April 2012 to June 2014.

Commander Adams’ personal decorations include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, the Meritorious Service Medal, the Navy Commendation Medal, the Joint Service Achievement Medal (two Awards), the Navy Achievement Medal (four Awards) and other campaign and unit awards. Commander Adams has been designated a fully joint qualified officer by the Secretary of Defense. In addition, Commander Adams graduated top in his class at Texas A&M University earning a Master’s Degree in Business Administration and has completed the Pennsylvania State Executive Program for Supply Chain Management.
