About Workshop One

The Rochefort Group workshop series will explore a wide range of topics under the overarching theme of “maritime information warfighting challenges and solutions in globally integrated operations” over the next four years. The first workshop will be hosted by the College of Maritime Operational Warfare (CMOW) and U.S. Naval War College (NWC) and facilitated by retired U.S. Navy Adm. Scott Swift and Rochefort Group faculty. Participants will include fleet commander Information Warfare (IW) personnel, NWC researchers and academics, subordinate force IW personnel, Naval Information Warfighting Development Center personnel and others.

The Rochefort Group workshops will explore important topics that include: information on doctrine, information on planning, improving Maritime Operations Center (MOC) IW integration and improving MOC to MOC relationships.

About the Rochefort Group

CMOW established its first advanced warfighting group to address fleet needs for integrated information warfighting education and fleet support. The Rochefort Group is focused expressly on the operational level of warfare functioning and fighting. The group provides information warfare expertise and refinement across CMOW and bolsters NWC’ strategic goals of operationalization and futurization of warfare education.
