The following requirements are needed to obtain an NWC badge. Badges will not be
given without the proper clearance information. Please note the information provided:

Navy
|
Please check into the NWC Security Office prior to checking into the Personnel Support
Detachment (K-61).
|
|
Air Force
|
Please provide a copy of your orders and a copy of any changes made to those orders
when checking into the NWC Security Office.
|
|
Army
|
Please check into the NWC Security Office with your Personnel Records Jacket (201
File) and original title DD 873.
|
|
Marines
|
Information will be provided to you by the Marine Detachment Administration located
next to the Naval War College in BLDG 71.
|
|
Coast Guard
|
Fax information/clearance requirements or have your organization send your clearance
information or a visit request on agency letterhead prior to your arrival.
|
|
Civilians
|
Please have your organization send your clearance information on agency letterhead
prior to your arrival. For genser clearances forward to:

This information may also be faxed to: (401) 841-3004 or DSN 948-3004. If the information
is faxed, the hard copy original must be forwarded to the above address. Your agency
must provide the following information: Name, social security number, date of birth,
place of birth, type of investigation, agency which did the investigation, date
of completed investigation, and level of access.
FOR ALL STUDENTS
The requirement for NWC students in terms of security access is SECRET. This requires
a current NAC, NACI, SBI, or SSBI. If you do not have one or yours is outdated,
you will need to initiate the paperwork prior to arrival at the Naval War College.
For expediency when checking in, please bring a copy of the paperwork, including
the title DD 1879, that was submitted. Unless you are taking one of the following
electives, access to SCI is not required.
