Naval War College Operational Support Office is seeking one or more very motivated Reservists to help coordinate and support the two-week Operational Support Reserve Officer Joint Professional Military Education (JPME) Joint Military Operations Course that will take place at the Naval War College, Newport, RI in from 1-12 December. Reserve Officers from across all military services as well as possible representatives from Coalition partners will be in attendance working toward completion of the JPME program. We are seeking Reserve support personnel to work with the NWC Operational Support Staff in the preparation of course materials, administrative check-in/out of students and coordination with the other NWC departments that support this course. AT is preferred, however for the right applicant ADT can be made available. DAYTIME SHIFTS ONLY!!! NWC is looking for E1-E6 personnel of any rate with AT funding available to assist in our Security Department. The Naval War College is constantly hosting events attended by high ranking national and international officials such as the SECNAV, CNO, Congressmen and others. Our Security Department is always in need of motivated and professional Reserve personnel to augment our Security Department staff. Duties would consist of performing security rounds of the 11 buildings of the NWC compound, escorting visitors and performing security inspections of personnel and vehicles entering the NWC campus. SECRET CLEARANCE REQUIRED. ANY DATES WILL BE ACCEPTED. DAYTIME SHIFTS ONLY!!!

Spend two autumn weeks here in beautiful Newport, RI!!! Naval War College Public Affairs is seeking Reserve Support for Naval War College Senior Officer student media training from 03-14 NOV 2008. Reserve Support staff required for the Joint Military Operations curriculum exercise, during which approximately 300 Naval War College students will experience and participate in a “live” interview and broadcast exercise. We are looking for Reserve Public Affairs Officers, Mass Communication Specialists as well as other qualified applicants with experience in communications, journalism or the media. Attire during the training is business, since the trainers will role-play as reporters. AT is preferred, as of this posting, we have not been allocated our FY-09 ADT funding. The China Maritime Studies Institute (CMSI) was founded at the Naval War College in Newport, RI in 2006 for the purpose of bringing a strong and objective research focus to the issue of Chinese maritime development. This fourth annual conference evaluates the implications of China’s rapid development in the aerospace domain for maritime strategy in the Asia-Pacific region. As part of this effort, the participants, including both leading technical and regional experts, will come together to take a close look at emerging Chinese capabilities – from new satellites to unmanned aerial vehicles to the anti-ship ballistic missile – in considering the aerospace dimension of the Chinese maritime challenge. The conference supports the Naval War College’s mission to provide strategic research and findings directly to the CNO. Spend two weeks in sunny Newport, RI in support of the Secretary of the Navy’s annual Current Strategy Forum to be hosted by the Naval War College in Newport, RI. This year’s forum will examine the challenges associated with the CNO’s new Maritime Strategy.
