Full-Time Civilian Professorship
Periodically, the U.S. Naval War College, Newport, R.I., invites applications for appointments in the War Gaming Department to a position on the faculty at an academic rank of Assistant professor/AD-3, Associate Professor/AD-5, or Research Professor/AD-7. Consideration for employment is determined by the successful candidate's experience and education. Faculty members will provide curriculum support, war game design, development, analysis, and subject matter expertise to experiments, games, analysis and research projects.
Each year, the War Gaming Department has a number of Military Professorships available for Mid to Senior level officers. This position is a three-year billet assigned to the Naval War College’s War Gaming Department. Military Faculty will serve in the same capacity as their civilian counterparts, providing curriculum support, war game design, development, analysis, and subject matter expertise to experiments, games, analysis and research projects.
