Profile

Lieutenant Colonel Mark E. Solomons, U.S. Army, reported to the National Security Affairs Department in July 2010. He teaches both National Security Decision Making (NSDM) and Theater Security Decision Making (TSDM). LTC Solomons is currently an active duty Armor officer. His last operational assignment was as Battalion Commander for 2d Battalion, 8th U.S. Cavalry Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division from 2008-2010. He has numerous combat, COIN and Peace Keeping deployments from which to draw experience. He has earned a Masters Degree in Adult Education from Kansas State University and is a graduate of the Army's Command and General Staff College.
