Commander Douglas Ducharme is a Military Research Professor in the War Gaming Department, Center for Naval Warfare Studies. CDR Ducharme has served twenty years on active duty as a helicopter pilot in the Combat Support and Mine Countermeasures Communities and at the Naval War College as a Game Director. He also deployed to Iraq for one year as the Chief of Operations for the Energy Fusion Cell of the Combined Joint Operations Directorate of Multi-National Force-Iraq.
CDR Ducharme received a Master of Arts Degree in National Security and Strategic Studies from the Naval War College, a Master of Science Degree in Global Leadership from the University of San Diego, and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute. He is currently enrolled in the Doctoral Program in Education Leadership at Johnson & Wales University.
CDR Ducharme’s areas of expertise and research include search and rescue, mine warfare, infrastructure protection, theater security cooperation, maritime domain awareness, and operations research.
CDR Ducharme is an active member of the Military Operations Research Society.
