Billet Description:Due to the exterior and interior construction and repair project at Hewitt, B. 991, 27 classrooms and 132 personnel will need to be relocated to accomplish the $3M renovation. The construction will happen in a minimum of four stages and require extensive coordination and communication with occupants, management, movers, and students. This is a huge communication and coordination undertaking that the Facilities Department is unable to staff due to other construction commitments in Pringle, Tomich, MLH, and Schonland. This effort needs a dedicated person to oversee and coordinate the moves and de-conflict with the departments and the contractor’s schedule (as yet unknown). Without this dedicated support it is fully expected that the residents of Hewitt who will be impacted will have a more difficult time relocating and carrying on a seamless school year.
