Capt. John F. Kirby (CNCS 2000), who has been selected for the rank of Rear Admiral (lower half), will be assigned as Chief of Information, Washington, D.C. Kirby is currently serving as Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Media Operations, Office of the Secretary of Defense, Washington, D.C.
