HUNTSVILLE-- Northrop Grumman has named retired Army Lt. Gen. Kevin T. Campbell (CNW 1993), Vice President and Corporate Lead Executive for company business in Huntsville.
 
Campbell retired in December as commanding general of the U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command/U.S. Army Forces Strategic Command at Redstone Arsenal. He reports to John R. Landon, vice president of missile technology and space programs.
 
"I am very pleased to welcome Kevin Campbell as our new lead executive in Huntsville," Landon said in a statement. "His broad military leadership, especially in the areas of missile defense, space and cyber defense, will serve him well in his new position.
 
"We look forward to his contributions to our company and its shareholders, customers and employees."
Campbell, who served in the Army for 37 years, is Northrop's senior executive for the Huntsville region, representing all sectors and all business activities. He will maintain direct liaison with the Missile Defense Agency; Army Space and Missile Defense Command;  Army Materiel Command; Army Aviation and Missile Command; and the Marshall Space Flight Center.
 
He becomes the company's main liaison with customers, industry partners and business leaders. In addition, he represents Northrop in the Huntsville community and help support economic development activities, community service and philanthropic activities.
