The Association celebrated the 150th anniversary of the founding of the Regiment at the 111th annual reunion. We were fortunate to have as our honored guest and speaker, Colonel Patrick J. Donahoe, Commanding Officer, 4th Cavalry Regiment stationed at Fort Knox, Kentucky. His inspirational speech reflected the works of Shakespeare as it pertained to our modern Army.
COL Donahoe, a Distinguished Military Graduate, began his illustrious career in Korea where he served in various leadership positions. He was subsequently transferred to Fort Knox where he was assigned to the 12th Cavalry and Aide-de-camp to the Deputy Commanding General of the Recruiting Command. Other assignments took COL Donahoe to Germany, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Washington, DC, Newport, RI for the Navy War College, Fort Riley, Fort Hood, Iraq, and the National Training Center at Fort Irwin, CA. Prior to his Fort Irwin assignment, COL Donahoe was a National Security Fellow at Harvard University’s JFK School of Government.
COL Donahoe holds Masters Degrees from the American Military and the US Naval War College.
