Profile

Senior Master Sergeant De La Cruz is a native of California and claims Oceanside, California as her hometown. She enlisted in the Air Force in June, 1984. She completed Basic Training at Lackland AFB, Texas and attended Financial Management Technical School at Sheppard AFB in Wichita Falls, Texas.
 
Senior Master Sergeant De La Cruz served in the Comptroller career field from 1984 to 2001, assuming duties in the Strategic Air Command, Air Force Accounting and Finance Center, Air Education and Training Command, and the United States Air Forces in Europe Command. She served as a special duty Professional Military Education instructor and additional duty First Sergeant at Kisling NCO Academy in Germany, from 2001 to 2004.
 
Upon graduation from the Air Force First Sergeant Academy, Sergeant De La Cruz served as a First Sergeant in the Pacific Air Forces Command and Air Combat Command until 2007. She was a Director of Staff Superintendent, Comptroller Superintendent, and additional duty First Sergeant in the Air Mobility Command from 2007 to 2009.
 
Sergeant De La Cruz holds an Associates Degree in Financial Management and Human Resources from the Community College of the Air Force, a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology from the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) and a Masters Degree in Management from Webster University. Additionally, she is a graduate of the United States Air Force Senior NCO Academy and First Sergeant Academy.   
 
Senior Master Sergeant De La Cruz’s major awards include the Air Force Meritorious Service Medal (three oak leaf clusters), Commendation Medal (three oak leaf clusters), and  Achievement Medal (one oak leaf cluster). She joined the staff of the Navy Senior Enlisted Academy in February, 2010.
