Profile
Col Kevin Masterson is a military professor in the Joint Military Operations Department. He develops and moderates both the senior-level Joint Military Operations and junior-level Joint Maritime Operations courses.
Colonel Masterson entered the Air Force in 1987 after receiving an ROTC commission following his graduation from the University of Massachusetts, Lowell with a degree in Industrial Technologies. He holds a Masters Degree in Military Operations from American Military University and is a distinguished graduate of the Air Command and Staff College.
Prior to serving as a professor, Colonel Masterson commanded the 347th Operational Support Squadron, Moody AFB, GA. He is a Master Navigator with over 3000 flight hours primarily in special operations aircraft and the B-52 bomber. He has flown missions in support of Operation Desert Storm and numerous SOF exercises and contingencies throughout the world. Additionally as a staff officer, at the Air Force Doctrine Center, Col Masterson developed the Air Force’s first SOF doctrine.
