Commander Daniel T. Dolan, U.S. Navy
, is an active duty Commander assigned to the College Distance Education's Strategy and Policy Division. He is currently managing the Strategy and Warfare CD ROM course and the Navy's Professional Reading Program
. Additional duties include teaching the Strategy and Warfare web enabled and Non-resident Fleet Seminar courses.
CDR Dolan holds a B.A. in History (Summa Cum Laude) from the University of Memphis
, a Professional Graduate Certificate in Non-Profit Management from the University of Southern New Hampshire and an M.A. in National Security and Strategic Studies from the Naval War College.
He enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1983 and was commissioned through the Enlisted Commissioning Program at the University of Memphis in 1992. He has flown over 5700 hours as a Naval Aircrewman and Naval Flight Officer on EP-3E Aries II and various models of the P-3 aircraft. He has the distinction of logging more than 300 combat reconnaissance sorties. His most recent operational tour was as the Officer in Charge of Fleet Support Unit FIVE (FSU-5), an operational unit supporting the P-3’s Littoral Surveillance Radar System. He has completed staff and instructor duty assignments in Millington, TN, Norfolk, VA and Brunswick, ME
