Lieutenant Colonel (LTC) Chris J. Kidd, U.S. Army, joined the Joint Military Operations Department in June 2012 after completing command of 2nd Battalion, 34th Armor Regiment -- a Combined Arms Battalion (CAB) located at Fort Riley, Kan. -- and deploying to Maiwand District, Afghanistan, during 2011.
LTC Kidd was commissioned in the Infantry from the United States Military Academy in 1992 and has served in numerous troop leading and staff positions while assigned to Infantry, Cavalry, and Armor Battalions during his career. His deployments include a peacekeeping mission in Sinai, Egypt as well as combat operations in Tikrit, Iraq, Samarra, Iraq, and Maiwand, Afghanistan.
His civilian education includes a Master’s degree in Global Studies from University of Denver and a Masters in Military Arts and Science from Fort Leavenworth, Kan.
