Profile

CDR Brent Boston teaches the Policy Analysis sub-courses in the National Security Decision Making and Theater Security Decision Making courses.  He is a career submarine officer with extensive experience in teaching and in strategic management of educational programs. 
Education:  Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Magna Cum Laude from Vanderbilt University; Master of Arts in National Security and Strategic Studies from the Naval War College.  Served as an Associate Fellow on the Chief of Naval Operations Strategic Studies Group. 
Professional Experience:  He served on three fast attack submarines and one ballistic missile submarine with extensive operations in the Atlantic, Pacific and Mediterranean.  Worked as an Action Officer on the CNO's staff in Training and Education (N7) and in Test and Evaluation (N091).  Teaching assignments include Naval Nuclear Power School (teaching Aspects of Reactor Plant Operations) and service as the Deputy Director of the NATO Education Center at National Defense University. 

He is a member of the Africa Studies Group and the Europe-Russia Studies Group at the NWC.
