Commander Alan M. Marblestone, U.S. Navy, joined the NSDM faculty in August 2009, and currently teaches the Policy Making and Process (PMP) and National Security Policy Analysis (NSPA) courses. He graduated from the University of Maryland in 1991 earning his commission through the NROTC Program at The George Washington University. After designation as a Naval Flight Officer in 1993 he was assigned to several fleet P-3 squadrons completing deployments throughout the Western Pacific, Europe and the Caribbean. He served as an instructor at VP-30, the P-3 Fleet Replacement Squadron where he was responsible for training new and returning fleet NFO’s. Additionally, he served as the Assistant Navigator onboard USS NIMITZ, planning her voyage around Cape Horn to her new homeport in San Diego, CA. He is a 2000 graduate of the Naval War College Non-Resident Seminar Program and earned a Masters Degree in Business Administration from Salve Regina University.
