NEWPORT, R.I.
– Dr. Michael B. Oren, Ambassador of Israel to the United States, will present a lecture for about 900 students, faculty and staff of Salve Regina University and the U.S. Naval War College on Thursday, Oct. 27 at 7 p.m. at Spruance Hall, Naval Station Newport.
Oren will speak for about 30 minutes on the topic, “The Ultimate Ally,” followed by a 30-minute question and answer session.
The ambassador’s visit is being organized by Salve Regina’s Pell Center for International Relations and Public Policy as part of a program focusing on the Middle East. In fall 2010, the Pell Center welcomed Imad Moustapha, the Syrian Ambassador to the United States, who also presented a lecture.
