Cmdr. James Kraska, a professor with the International Law Department, served on a panel titled "Modern Piracy: Legal and Policy Options" on Nov. 13 at the 19th Annual Review of the Field of National Security Law.

The conference is sponsored by the American Bar Association Standing Committee on Law and National Security, and included the top national security lawyers in the U.S. government, including the General Counsel of the Department of Defense. Kraska's presentation focused on the evolution of piracy in international law from Ancient Rome to the present.
