NEWPORT, R.I. -- Professor Timothy D. Hoyt of the Strategy and Policy Department inaugurated the new Naval War College Washington Speaker Series with a talk on Pakistan to an audience of more than 40 drawn from OPNAV, the Navy Secretariat, and Headquarters Marine Corps, on March 25.

(Photo provided by Tom Mahnken)The series is meant to foster new relationships between Naval War College faculty members and Navy and Marine Corps officers and civilians in the Pentagon, as well as to build relationships across organizational lines in the Pentagon. 

Future talks will include discussions of alternative approaches to Taiwan’s defense as well as officer professional development and career paths.
