Stockton e-Portal Provides Research Tool for Law of Armed Conflict

NEWPORT, R.I. -- The U.S. Naval War College International Law Department launched Stockton, The Law of Armed Conflict / International Humanitarian Law Research e-Portal, last month, and after surpassing 4,400 views, it is proving to be NWC's most popular LibGuide hosted by NWC this year.

Named after Admiral Charles H. Stockton, former Naval War College President and author of the US Navy's first law of armed conflict manual, Stockton is intended as an easily accessible online library knowledge sharing tool for practitioners and academics working on law of armed conflict issues.

It includes documents and links to topics such as treaty and customary law; case law; law of armed conflict manuals, guides and reports; investigations; databases on military legal documents; joint military doctrine publications; and the San Remo Rules of Engagement Manual.

NWC's Henry W. Eccles Library now has 29 LibGuides available for viewing at http://usnwc.libguides.com/.
