Hosted by Meredith Vieira (right), the show featuring Barrett as a contestant will air in the Providence, R.I. area on WLNE (ABC) on Wednesday, Jan. 5, and Thursday, Jan. 6 at 5 p.m. (Photo courtesy of Valleycrest Productions Ltd.)Barrett, a faculty member for the Naval War College's Strategy and Policy Department, has been in the U.S. Navy for 22 years. He has traveled to 22 countries and has flown jets from aircraft carriers.

Since marrying his wife, they have moved 17 times, but have never taken a honeymoon! Kyle said he would love to make some Millionaire money so that he can finally take her to Australia or New Zealand.

He is self-admittedly very competitive. He jokes that people no longer like to play Trivial Pursuit with him! He is also a very accomplished Bridge player and is about to become a “Life Master” from the American Bridge League. The honor is the most highly sought level of Bridge achievement.

Barrett said that if he won big on Millionaire, he would take his wife on the honeymoon that they never had, pay for college for his sons and buy-in to the “World Series of Poker.”
