MEXICO CITY, Mexico – Larry McCabe, professor in the National Security Decision Making Department at the Naval War College (NWC), lectured on U.S. National Security Strategy to the senior class at Mexico’s Centro De Estudios Superiores Navales (CESNAV) on December 3.

The lecture and question and answer session at the college discussed current U.S. strategy and its potential impact on U.S. relations with Mexico and Latin America. The dialogue also included an extensive discussion of the current violence on the U.S. - Mexico border and the likelihood of increased cooperation between the countries.

McCabe's visit is one of a series of engagements between CESNAV and NWC as the college’s War Gaming Department and International Law Department conduct routine meetings with the Mexican Navy. Students from Mexico's senior Professional Military Education institution are expected to visit Newport in May 2011.
