NEW DELHI (Nov. 23-24, 2009) Professor Tim Hoyt presents a paper at a conference co-hosted by the Centre for Land Warfare Studies (CLAWS) and the Indian Army, Nov. 23-24.  Hoyt and Col. Dave Brown, both of the Strategy and Policy Department, recently spent several days in India at the Indian Army-CLAWS International conference on the "Changing Nature of Conflict: Trends and Responses." Hoyt's presentation dealt with potential flash points and emerging security trends most affecting South Asia. Participants included senior leaders in the Indian government such as noted author Dr. Shashi Tharoor, now the minister of External Affairs, as well as the Indian Defense Minister and the Chief of Army Staff.
